Plan B and Aggro Santos are amongst a host of UK artists to take the stage for a special benefit concert at London’s Islington O2 Academy to raise money and awareness for the victims of the Pakistan flood. The She Said singer will headline the event, dubbed Party For Pakistan, which takes place on September 29.
Other acts hitting the stage include Mz Bratt, Wretch 32, Akala, BBC Radio 1’s DJ Nihal and Riz MC, who’ll be hosting the event…
“The scale of suffering in Pakistan is unfathomable,” Riz MC explains. “An area the size of Italy is flooded and a population equal to Australia is now homeless.” He continues, “the party for Pakistan aims to raise money and awareness by enlisting some of the best names in UK Music for an unforgettable event.”
The July floods have killed 1600 people, with the death toll expected to rise and has destroyed over 1 million homes.
All artists will be performing for free at the event later this month. Tickets cost £10 in advance or £12.50 on the door.
