It looks like T.I. could be heading back to jail after his recent drug bust. Court papers filed last Friday reveal that the rappers probation officer is seeking he serve eight to 14 months, but T.I.’s lawyers claim the guidelines call for no more than five to 11 months, reports The Daily News.
T.I., real name Clifford Harris, was arrested on September 1, along with wife, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle in LA, after cops stopped the newlyweds for doing an illegal U-turn. When the officers smelt “a strong odour of marijuana,” they searched the vehicle, found ecstasy pills and arrested the couple on suspicion of drug possession.
The multi platinum selling rapper is currently on three years probation, after serving a seven month prison sentence for fire arm charges, so it’s looking very likely that he’ll be headed back to the cells.
T.I. is due back in court on October 15th.
