Not too long ago it was announced that rap juggernauts Kanye West and Jay-Z are to record a 5-track EP together, titled ‘Watch the Throne’. Kanye has revealed the pair will now record a full length album instead.
The ‘Runaway’ star admitted to using songs from their initial EP and putting them on his new album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ – insisting Jigga wouldn’t find it hard to come up with new exciting material…
“We’re putting out a whole album now,” Yeezy told MTV US. “We had done five songs so far, but then a few of them kind of were out there — and I put them on my album. Sorry, Jay!”
The 33-year-old also revealed the pair will fly out to Europe at the end of this month to complete the project:
“We’re going to the South of France at the end of this month just to record new ideas. We’ll probably be done with the album in like a day or whatever. If you think about it, it’s really easy for Jay: He only has to think of, like, 10 verses!”
Kanye and Jay-Z have been working together for nearly ten years and if their past collaborations are anything to go by, their new venture is guaranteed to be a hip-hop classic.
