Cher Lloyd Most Talked About Celebrity Newcomer!

She may have only came in forth place on the talent contest, but X-factor star Cher Lloyd has beaten show winner, Matt Cardle, to be named 2010’s most talked about celebrty newcomer.

The list was compiled from Google searches, Facebook fans, followers on Twitter and views on YouTube in the UK – proving that the cocky confident 17-year-old rapper was an internet sensation.

The X-Factor dominated the list, with Essex lad Matt coming in second, Boyband One Direction came third, and forth place went to Katie Waissel. Paul the Octopus rounded up the list at number five. The German native was a big hit at this years World cup, after correctly guessing the football scores (may he rest in peace).

David Wilding, head of planning at PHD, the media company that carried out the research, said:

“Nobody would have been able to predict this list this time last year except perhaps Paul the Octopus himself.”
