It’s been over a decade since Dr. Dre performed live at a televised event, but with a new single out and his well over-due ‘Detox’ album due for release later on this year, the 45-year-old legendary hip-hop star is set to make his grand return in a memorable manner.
CNN has reported that Dre will make his big live comeback at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards and will perform a medley with his protégé, Eminem. Em’s nominated for an impressive 10 awards, but surprisingly believes he may go home empty-handed…
According to Slim’s Shady Records signee, Royce Da 5’9, the ‘Recovery’ star is very doubtful about his chances of winning:
“He (Eminem) doesn’t think he’s gonna win anything,” Royce told MTV News US. “He wouldn’t bet me, though. But I think he honestly thinks he’s not gonna win. Which I think is ridiculous.”
The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 13, at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre.
