Jessie J’s ‘Price Tag’ has seen off stiff competition from Chipmunk and Lady Gaga to retain a second week at number one on the Official UK Singles Chart.
The 22-year-old newcomer had been in second place throughout the week and it was looking likely that Chipmunk’s ‘Champion’ – a duet with Chris Brown – would knock the BRIT winner off the top spot. But the ‘Do It Like A Dude’ singer overtook her rival at the final hurdle, beating the grime MC by a margin of just 5%. Both acts shifted over 90,000 copies in the last seven days.
Lady Gaga stormed into number three with her new song ‘Born This Way’. The flamboyant stars comeback single has made history by becoming iTunes fastest selling song and has gone to number one in 23 countries.
But despite all the strong competition, Jessie J came in pole position and remains at number one for another week – Congratulations from The Wrap Up!
