Bill O’Reilly & Lupe Fiasco’s TV Face-Off Over Terrorism!

Bill O'Reilly and Lupe Fiasco

Last night Lupe Fiasco appeared on Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” and just as expected, the outspoken rapper and the extremely opiniated host Bill O’Reilly got into a little slagging match live on TV.

The Chicago MC appeared as a guest on the show to defend his previous comments where he claimedBarack Obama and the US government were the “biggest terrorists”.

O’Reilly wasted no time and went straight in for the kill: “President Obama is not a terrorist,” he said. “He’s trying to do what he believes is the right thing to do.”

Fiasco tried to explain that “every president before and after” Obama could also be described as a terrorist, because of American foreign policy. “If you’re going to fight terrorism, to me, you fight the root causes of terrorism,” he said.

But O’Reilly abruptly told him that his followers “are not exactly political science PhD’s” and accused the rapper of misleading his fans. “I don’t think that that matters,” Fiasco shot  back. “I don’t think that politics are as complex as people like to make them seem.”

The two men then got into a heated debate about the war in Afghanistan, with Fiasco highlighting that the war had been misguided since it had strayed from its original aims.

“Why are we in Afghanistan if it wasn’t to hunt down Al Qaeda and the terrorist network?” he asked. To which O’Reilly fired back with, “You are oversimplifying a message that is not true.”

It feels weird to see Bill O’Reilly actually defending Obama.
