R.I.P Whitney Houston – 1963 – 2012

Growing up I absolutely idolized Whitney Houston, her voice was incredible and the Bodyguard was one of my all time favorite films. What a sad day, we have lost a true musical legend and it will be rare if we’ll ever see a vocalist like Whitney again 😦

What a musical genius. Her stats speak for themselves…

  • 170 million record sales, including an estimated one million in Australia;
  • 415 awards, which earn her the title of “most-awarded female artist” from Guinness World Records. They include: 6 Grammys, 16 Billboards, 23 American Music Awards and 2 Emmys;
  • Ten albums including, 7 solo studio albums, 3 compilations and 2 soundtracks;
  • 53 charting singles, including 26 that reached number one on at least one world chart;
    .
  • The most consecutive US number one hits (seven):
Houston died in LA on Saturday (February 11), aged 48.
Deepest condolences to all her family friends, especially her daughter.

Rest In Peace
