Over the last few days I’ve read numerous blogs and publications bashing Gwyneth Paltrow for using the ‘N’ word on Twitter during a “Watch The Throne” gig in France. And by no means do I support the usage of such language, but I think the backlash is aimed at the wrong person.
The Hollywood actress – who’s BFF’s with Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce – got onstage with Jigga and Kanye West during the show and later tweeted a photo of herself standing near the rappers, with the caption “Ni**as in paris for real.”
And that’s when the outrage began. “How dare she use the N word?” Many gasped. “She should know better” a lot people said. Erm, shouldn’t Jay-Z and Kanye know better? If you’re going to name your song “N***as In Paris”, then what do you expect? She obviously didn’t mean it in an offensive way, but it’s clearly an offensive word.
I totally understand why people will say she shouldn’t have tweeted that, but what I don’t understand is that why is nobody criticizing the rappers? They’re the ones who are promoting the word like it’s ‘cool’. Let’s deal with the root of the problem. Let’s be mad at the ones who ignorantly promote the word, not just the fans who naively (and ignorantly) imitate them. I LOVE hip hop music – and Jay-Z & Kanye are two of my favourite artists – but I think it’s about time we heard less of the ‘N’ word in rap songs (especially in the songs title).
Here’s British rapper AKALA talking about why he’s decided to stop using the ‘N’ word in his lyrics.
It seems like Jennifer Aniston just may have found her Mr right. Following her very public break up to Brad Pitt six years ago (yep, it really has been six years), the former Friends star has had a string of failed relationships, including romances with Vince Vaughn and John Mayer.
But now Jen’s love life is on a very positive high. The actress and her boyfriend Justin Theroux have reportedly moved in together, according to People Magazine. A source tells the mag, ”they decided to rent a house together while they keep searching for the perfect [one] to buy….Jen and Justin are very excited about living together in their new home.”
Aww she deserves all the happiness.
I don’t believe this for one second, but Hustler magazine is claiming it has a sex tape featuring Rihanna and J Cole.
The Roc Nation label mates travelled across America together earlier this year as Cole supported RiRi’s “LOUD” tour and now the porn company has told RadarOnline that they are in possession of a sex tape of the two stars.
“Hustler are in possession of the Rihanna and J-Cole tape,” said a rep for the adult company. “We have seen it and we do not know what we are going to do with it yet.”
While they refused to disclose any further details of the tape, the fact that it exists is sure to have Rihanna quaking in her stilettos.
However, despite Hustler’s claim about the pair, a source close to Rihanna is still denying it exists.
“Rihanna is surprised because there is no sex tape,” they told RadarOnline.com.”
Rihanna took to Twitter to deny the bizarre story, tweeting, “We don’t believe U, U need more people…AND ofcourse an actual sextape! #slownewsday.”
According to reports Hollywood’s beloved couple Will and Jada Picnkett-Smith have seperated after 13 years of married life.
The seemingly perfect marriage of Hollywood power couple Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith has come to a shock end, according to a report.
Smith, 42, and his 39-year-old wife of 13 years are said to have decided to end their marriage, said America’s In Touch Weekly magazine.
A spokesperson for the couple is yet to comment on the claims, however, some close to the couple are insisting the story is inaccurate.
The pair, who earned £20 million between them last year alone, have two children together – Jaden, 13, and Willow, ten.

The Smith’s reps have yet to comment on the story, so until there’s an official statement, I’m going to hope this is not true, because if the Smith’s can’t make it, what hope is there for the rest of us?!
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony‘s recent split is being blamed on the Love Don’t Cost A Thing singers Scientology beliefs. According to reports, the pair had clashed over JLO’s desire to take their 3-year-old twins Max and Emme to a Scientology school.
Lopez had previously hinted at sending her children to the Church of Scientology school back in 2008. She had said: “I wouldn’t mind. Not at all. Because I know that the technologies that they have are very helpful. It’s all about communication.
“I just wish that people wouldn’t judge it without knowing what it is.”
A source close to the couple told the Daily Mail: “Jennifer and Marc couldn’t see eye-to-eye on the subject. She’s always been more into the church than him. He wasn’t a huge fan and it caused problems.”
Jay-Z has denied reports suggesting that him and Kanye West are currently feuding over their Watch The Throne tour details.
Over the weekend The New York Post reported that the rap megastars are ”barely speaking to each other” after disagreeing over tour production costs. Whilst Jigga wants to keep costs low, Yeezy is allegded to want to spend big on stage props and apparently wants to spend $400,000 (£245,250) per show.
“Jay-z can’t deal with Kanye. Jay is a stone-cold businessman. He wants to recoup all of his money from Live Nation,” the US newspaper wrote. “But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars with a blowout show. He doesn’t care about costs. He has a lot less to gain from the shows.”
However, Jay-Z has dismissed this strory, telling New York’s Hot 97 radio station that the false gossip only helps promote their collaborative project.
“I kinda want to spend a gazillion dollars. They got it backwards, but it’s all good. I know that we’re doing something right now. When I woke up to all that, I was like, ‘Oh yeah, we must be really hot right now’,” he explained.
However, Jay-Z insisted that while he and West “get on each other’s nerves”, they do not allow the negative aspects to take over and instead become empowered by those who don’t support their sound.
“The people who have a problem with Kanye or myself are the people that are complacent in life. People don’t like to be pushed. It’s, like, annoying. It’s a thing when people are pushing you to be greater, and we push each other to be greater,” Jay-Z said.
Good good, I’m glad to hear all is well in the ‘Watch The Trone’ camp. We’ve been waiting far too long for this project, so there’s no space (or time) for any squabbles.
Since announcing her split from her husband last month, rumours have been rife that Jennifer Lopez is now dating her former love P Diddy. The American Idol judge and the rap mogul were recenlty spotted together and many are now speculating that the superstar pair – who dated in the late 90′s – have rekindled their love, reports Digital Spy.
A source close to the singer and American Idol judge told BET: “Puff wouldn’t be my first choice for her, but then again he was always very supportive of her sex symbol image and never got mad when she wore sexy clothes. He actually encouraged it.”
Meanwhile, an insider on P Diddy’s side described Lopez as his “fantasy girl” and “the love of his life”.
Reps for the stars have not commented on the reports.
It would be quite nostalgic if JLo and Puff Daddy got back together…
Yesterday morning MediaTakeOut.com printed some very explicit pictures of Amber Rose in the nude, doing some sexually provocative things, and while the voluptuous model hasn’t denied that it is her in the leaked pictures, she is however, furious at the website for claiming she sent the sexy snaps to ‘BFF’ Nicki Minaj‘s boyfriend, Safaree.
An unnamed source told the US celebrity site that Amber and Safaree sneaked off together while in Vegas for Nicki’s birthday and were dramatically caught out by Nicki herself. And later revealed the nude images ofKanye West’s ex were allegedly found on Safaree’s phone and said to be sent via blackberry messenger.
The shaven haired model, who’s now dating Wiz Khalifa, took to her Twitter to deny Media Take Outs story.
“These blogs do nothing but try to ruin peoples lives. I DID NOT send pics to anyone’s boyfriend. Please stop with the lies. It’s so ridiculous,” Amber proclaimed her innocence via the micro blogging social website. “Ya’ll been doing this to me for three years now,” she said. “It should be illegal to write fake stories about people. The media never wants to see anyone happy,” she added.
Here’s hoping it’s not true, because that would be a bit too much… Nicki Minaj is yet to publically comment on the issue.

Her ex, Chris Brown was the king of the BET Awards – nabbing an impressive five gongs, but Rihannadecided to skip the ceremony altogether, but was later spotted that evening partying it up at Club Playhouse and looked absolutely STUNNING.
Rumors have been rife that Justin Bieber snubbed Kanye West. Reports claimed the rapper asked the teen pop sensation to feature on his and Jay-Z‘s upcoming Watch The Throne joint album, but the biebs turned him down, fearing being associated with controversial Yeezy would be bad for his squeaky clean image.
“Justin likes Kanye’s music, but he’s worried he’s done too many controversial things and it would hurt his image,” a source alleged to Hollywood Life.
“Between the sex scandals, political gaffes and interrupting Taylor Swift, Kanye is known as a genius but a big risk to associate with!”
Justin was quick to squash these rumors and took to his twitter to address the issue. The 17-year-old tweeted:
“some rumours…i just dont know where they come from. me and @kanyewest are good. This right here is just FALSE. (sic)”
