With so much emphasis on live shows, music video just aren’t what they used to be. Rihanna‘s visuals for “We Found Love” was the first video in a long time, which made me say, ‘WOW! This is a pretty damn good video’.
Now Lana Del Rey‘s latest offering from her chart topping Born To Die LP, has me echoing the same thoughts. The 25-year-old songstress has released the video for her new single “National Anthem”, which sees Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky play former US President John F. Kennedy, while Miss Del Rey channels his wife Jacqueline Kennedy.
An unusual but amazingly intriguing concept. Check out the video below, it’s pretty damn cool.
OK, so now we know who won what, the other exciting part of the awards is who wore what? And watching the stars hit the red carpet, seeing who’s a style hit and who’s a total miss.
Not content with stealing the fasion show at last weeks Grammys, Rihanna‘s gone and done it again, looking ultra sexy and fabulous in this demure gold stud Givenchy dress.
Check out some of the other stars who also worked the red carpet last night in true style…
Adele looking divine in black.
Kylie looks old skool glam in this fab blue number
TOWIE star Lydia bright looks demure in Peach, while Caroline Flack shows off her toned pins.
Jo Whiley and Lana Del Rey both looking classy and sexy.
And those who didn’t quite get it right….
Cher Lloyd and the usually stylish Florence Welch both looked a little scary.
Emma Bunton and Emeli Sande’s oufits were rather unflattering
Jessie J’s see-through red sheer Scarlet gown is daring and ambitious, but for me it’s more of a miss than a hit.
Plan B looked a little disheveled.
And The Male Awards Goes To…
One Direction: Those handsome younglads sure do scrub up well…
The nation fell in love with Kate Middleton because of her down to earth girl-next-door demeanor. ButKelly Osbourne seems to think the Duchess of Cambridge should be more ‘diva-like’.
During a recent interview with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, Ms. Osbourne slammed Prince William‘s wife for wearing the same outfits more than once.
“If I am going to be the future bloody Queen of England I’m going to wear that dress once because I’m giving up the rest of my life, all of my privacy, at least I can get a new dress every day.”
I think it’s great she wears an outfit more than once. I like Kelly O, but in this situation she needs to just shut it.
Jay-Z should change his name to Jay-$ because the man is a true businessman. The rap mogul is expanding his empire and has purchased trendy clothing line Billionaire Boys Club – which is owned byPharell Williams.
The Empire State of Mind hitmaker has obtained the licensing to manufacture and distribute the Billionaire Boys Club label via his Rocawear brand.
According to GQ.com, the hip-hop stars will work “as a tandem” to capitalise on “Jay Z’s business prowess and Pharrell’s creativity” to boost the profile of the line, which Williams established in 2005 with his designer friend Nigo.
Jay Z sold the rights to Rocawear to the Iconix Brand Group in 2007, but he remains a shareholder and is still in charge of product development, marketing and licensing.
Now that’s a very clever business move.

Well it should be more like what the f*ck is Lady Gaga (not) wearing?
Lady Gaga, Kanye West and a host of other celebs and fashionista’s recently came out for the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards at New York’s Lincoln Center. And while the show itself went smoothly and completely drama-free, during the afterparty Gaga made sure she stole the show and made all the headlines, by taking off all her clothes.
The Bad Romance singer took off the black Thierry Mugler dress she wore during the show and strutted on the dancefloor in nothing but a completly see-through sheer bodysuit, a blue bob wig, a G-string and nipple tassels.
Well, she’s wore her bra and knickers so many times, it was only a matter of time before she stepped out in just a thong and nipple tassels. I’m a BIG Lady Gaga fan, I think she’s creative and a breath of fresh air, but all these ‘shock value’ naked publicity stunts are getting a little bit tired now. What would be more shocking is if Gaga turned up to an event in a plain white t-shirt, jeans, and air of Jordan’s. Now that would be shocking…
Check out some pics from the event below:
All you rap fans who are eargely waiting the release of Kanye West and Jay-Z‘s joint album Watch The Throne, you’ll probably be waiting a long time, ’cause Yeezy has more fashionable things on his mind.
The flamboyant rapper is reportedly working on his own clothing line in Paris. A source close to Mr. West tells The Telegraph the 33-year-old ‘All Of The Lights’ star has set up shop at a studio in Paris to begin work on his new fashion range.
This is clearly something Kanye feels strongly about. He reportedly once said fashion is more of a passion for him than music and in 2009 scrapped plans for his Pastelle line and most recently he released a line of limited edition scarves.
Well Kanye, I know you love fashion and everything, but please don’t desert music…
Rihanna is currently the queen of the pop charts. She has about ‘a million’ songs in the top 20 right now and her cart topping album, Loud, is still riding high in the top ten. But if you think RiRi is planning on slowing down any time soon, think again. The Flame-haired beauty recently shot the music video for new single ‘S&M’ and looked sexier than ever. Check out the exclusive pics from the video set above.
Everyone’s always talking about Cheryl Cole – and I don’t blame them, I do like our lil Chezza, but when it comes to fashion, the Newcastle lass just doesn’t quite fill the bill at the moment. But do you know who does? Her bandmate Nicola Roberts…
Nicola may have been the shy one in Girls Aloud, but since ditching the fake tan and letting her beautiful porcelain pale skin shine through, the 25-year-old has transformed before our very eyes and turned into a little fashionista.
In December she wore this beautiful 70’s inspired Topshop mocha jumpsuit (picture above) and looked absolutely stunning. And at just £50, it’s an affordable demure outfit.
Check pictures below the cut to see how the Girls Aloud star has transformed herself from chavtastic to a fantastic top fashion little style queen.
If I could afford it I’d have every pair in every colour. But serious how fab and fierce are Nicholas Kirkwood’s stilettos? This collection is to die for. Well not literally, you get my point. I’m especially loving the chiseled heels. I love daring shoes and these badboys fit the bill – all of them!
