She’s the new darling of X-Factor, but when it comes to her love life Tulisa Contostavlosis extremely private.
Up until now, the 23-yea-old singer has vowed never to talk publically about her relationship with fellow N-Dubz bandmate Richard ‘Fazer’ Rawson, as she wants all the attention to be on their music and not on their romance. But in a interview with the Sunday Mirror, the X-Factor Judge describes Fazer as the ‘best boyfriend’ she could have.
Despite being coy in the chat and not directly naming Fazer, the Camden star gushed about her blossoming love, decribing him as her “rock”.
Tulisa admitted, “I’m really happy and have the best boyfriend – he’s really supportive in what I’m doing with the show [X Factor].
“He’s my rock, he’s been there for me throughout the past few months. I couldn’t be doing what I’m doing without him.”
The pair have reportedly been dating since May of 2010 and they sure do make a sweet couple.
Birthday girl Tulisa Contostavlos was given a topless hunk to cater to her every need and pose as her personal ”slave” during the Liverpool X-Factor auditions.
Fellow judges Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Kelly Rowland gifted the N-Dubz star the unconventional gift for her 23rd birthday and by the looks of it, she seemed quite happy with her ‘present’.
Newly appointed X-Factor Judge Tulisa Contostavlos will reportedly receive a staggering £70,000 makeover ahead of the TV talent show’s return next month because ITV bosses fear the 22-year-old singer’s look is “too chavvy”.
The N-Dubz star has apparently been teamed up with celeb stylist Gemma Sheppard to help transform her style into a more sophisticated and demure look.
Former Destiny’s Child singer and fellow judge Kelly Rowland has reportedly been given a £40,000 style allowance.
A production source told The Sun:
“They put aside so much for Tulisa because you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. They want her to be the new nation’s sweetheart. She looked too chavvy and cheap on the first-day auditions so producers gave her a bigger budget for clothes and styling.
“They want her to have a designer look with chic class – more Posh Spice than Vicky Pollard in Little Britain, which was how she has looked more than a few times.”
According to the insiders, the move came when Tulisa turned up to the first audition show in Birmingham last month in less than flattering black jumpsuit. The source added: “We thought she’d turned up in her pyjamas. Something had to be done.”
I think Tulisa looks absolutely fabulous just the way she is. But hey, if someone’s giving you a free 70k makeover, take it and own it…
After days of speculating whether Cheryl Cole will come back to the British X-Factor and if someone will be squeezed out to make way for the Girls Aloud star, the hoopla has finally been sorted, as ITV have officially confirmed that Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos will be judges on this year’s X-Factor.
The former Destiny’s Child star and N-Dubz singer will join Take That’s Gary Barlow and only remaining original judge Louis Walsh, on the British reality talent show, which starts filming this Wednesday.
Peter Fincham, ITV Director of Television, said the judges have the ”experience right across the music business to pick the stars of the future. As multi-million selling artists, songwriters and pop masterminds, Gary, Tulisa, Kelly and Louis have huge breadth of appeal with our audience.”
Well, a huge congrats to both Kelly and Tulisa. This year’s X-Factor is going to be VERY different, but change is good. American Idol lost Simon Cowell last year, and since replacing the sharp-tongued Brit with singers Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, the show is actually doing even better than before.
There’s been so much speculation over who will be on the judge’s panel on the new US X-Factor, that we’ve practically forgotten about the UK version. Now that it’s been confirmed that Simon Cowell will be joined by music exec L.A. Reid, singer Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole on the upcoming American series, we can now turn our full attention over to the UK version.
So, who will replace Simon? Who will replace Cheryl? Well, the big question now is who will replace Dannii Minogue? The 39-year-old Aussie shocked everyone by announcing she has quit the talent show, to focus on her commitments as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent.
Step forward Tulisa Contostavlos… It has been revealed the N-Dubz singer will be replacing Dannii in the new series. That explains why N-Dubz abruptly announced they were taking a break.
Dannii explained she will no longer be a part of the popular talent show, as auditions conflicted with her work schedule. The mum of two released the following statement:
“I’m so disappointed that I can’t be a part of The X Factor this year. I’m going to miss the show.
‘During discussions for me to return it became clear that, unfortunately, the audition dates in the UK clash with my live shows of Australia’s Got Talent during June and July.”
2011’s X-Factor will now be fronted by Take That’s Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, Tulisa and a yet-to-announced forth judge. That’s one hell of a major reshuffle. Whether fans buy into the new line-up, only time will tell, but a big CONGRATULATIONS to Tulisa on the new role.
